Officer James Drilon stopped a vehicle for a stop sign violation. The driver, who lives on Sunrise Way, was unlicensed. He was cited and his 2004 Chevrolet was towed. Case #080570697

Officers Arline Gilmore and Jordan King stopped a vehicle after the driver went through stop signs, sped and narrowly missed a muni vehicle. A resident of the 2300 block of 21st Avenue was cited for reckless driving. Case #080571560

05/31/08 4:10 pm First block of Holloway

Officers Danny Barajas, Rolando Escobar, Amanda Cordoba and Robin Odum responded to a felony assault at a residence on Holloway. One of the combatants struck a victim with a baseball bat. Officers Cordoba and Odum detained two suspects on the first block of Lee after the assault. After an investigation, an adult who lives in Daly City was arrested for felony assault. Two juveniles who live on Holloway and Lee were arrested for a no bail burglary warrant and for criminal threats. Case #080571770

Officer John Cvetovac and Sgt. Jody Kato stopped a driver in a vehicle with fresh body damage to the vehicle. The driver was highly intoxicated and swayed back and forth when asked to walk. She stated that she was driving to buy more alcohol. The suspect, who lives on the 200 block of Stonecrest, failed field sobriety tests and was arrested for drunk driving. Case #080565444

Officers Christopher Smith, Dana Terry, Anthony Calasanz and Saqib Aslam went to a tavern on the 2300 block of Taraval where a woman had been sexually assaulted in the rear of the establishment. The officers arrested a resident of the 2500 block of 42nd Avenue, who was in the tavern, on false imprisonment and sexual assault charges. Case #080565513

Officer Kevin Wong along with personnel from the San Francisco Fire Department cited a resident for burning items in the rear of his residence. Case #080563335

05/29/08 3:42 pm 1700 block of 21st Avenue

Captain Paul Chignell, Sgt. Steve Quon and Officers Scott Biggs, Chris Oshita, Justin Quintero and Antonio Cacatian responded on a report of four juveniles committing graffiti offenses on the side of the Chicago Title Company building. The officers searched the area and detained four suspects, one of whom Officers Quintero and Biggs observed having purple color all over his shirt which matched the graffiti on the building. The suspect, who lives on the 600 block of 34th Avenue, was cited. Case #080563880

Officers Joseph Chang and Joshua Enea observed a man standing in a doorway acting suspiciously. The officers talked to the man who gave them conflicting information as to his identity. Officers Justin Quintero and Scott Biggs stopped a vehicle for an equipment violation. The driver was operating the vehicle with a suspended license and was uninsured. That person, who lives on the 3500 block of 19th Street, was cited. A passenger, who lives in South San Francisco, was arrested on a domestic violence warrant from South San Francisco. Their vehicle, a 1986 Honda, was towed. Case #080560121

Officers Buddy Siguido and Tro Hoang went to an address on Howth and arrested the resident on two narcotics warrants from the Palo Alot Police Department. Case #080560911

05/28/08 11:45 pm Ocean and Sunset

Officers Aaron Lozada and Richard Soares stopped a vehicle and two suspects that matched the description of two robbery suspects. They determined that these men were not the robbery suspects but the officers could smell marijuana in and around the vehicle. A search of the trunk revealed an extremely large amount of marijuana in a duffel bag, an illegal weapon and other evidence. The suspects, who live in Novato and in San Rafael, were arrested on a multitude of charges. Case #080557526

Officers Kevin O'Leary and Kevin Mannix of Taraval Station along with Officer Gasanyan of the Youth Services Unit and Sgt. Miller of Ingleside responded to Walgreen's on West Portal on a report of theft suspects armed with guns. The officers located three suspects on Wawona who had stolen items from the pharmacy and were in possession of toy guns tucked into their waistbands similar to real firearms. The three, who live on the 1000 block of Fitzgerald, 2400 block of Griffith and 400 block of Peninsula, were arrested for theft and conspiracy. Case #080554920

Officer Tri Hoang stopped a vehicle at Great Highway and Noriega for an equipment violation. The driver, who lives on the 2600 block of 47th Avenue, was unlicensed. He was cited and his 1995 Toyota was towed. Case #080553405

Officer Matt Friedman stopped an aggressive panhandler at 25th and Lincoln. The suspect, who has no permanent local address, was cited. Case #080552203

05/27/08 6:08 pm 1900 block of 44th Avenue

Sgt. Robert Padrones along with Officers Gregory Pak, Ronald Choy, Jose Guardado, Duane Elzey, Gregg Gotelli, Scott Biggs, Jason Quintero, Aaron Lozada, Richard Soares, Robin Odum and Carla Lee, responded to an incident on the 1900 block of 44th avenue where a massive marijuana "grow" operation was taking place. The officers, armed with a search warrant, confiscated over 300 marijuana plants, ammunition, and an abundant evidence of a marijuana sales operation. Four suspects, who live on the 200 block of 22nd Avenue, 1200 block of Noriega and 1400 block of Lawton, were arrested on narcotics and conspiracy charges. Case #080556647

05/27/08 8:06 pm 1800 block of Rivera

An alert local resident called the police as he saw two suspects inside a vehicle acting quite suspiciously and attempting without success to start a vehicle with a silver object. Officers Carla Lee, Robin Odum, Matt Friedman, Thomas Chu, Rex Calaunan, Benny Lew, Frances Feliciano, Buddy Siguido and Tigran Antonian responded and located the driver near the vehicle. He gave conflicting information as to the ownership of the vehicle. Inside the vehicle, the officers found a large quantity of methamphetamine, burglar tools and stolen property such as credit cards and identification. The vehicle was found to be stolen. The second suspect was located on the 2200 block of 29th Avenue. The two suspects, who reside on the 400 block of 19th Avenue and the 700 block of Broderick, were arrested on a multitude of charges. Lieutenant Doug Groshong and Officers Moli Finau, Thomas Abrahamsen and John Paige went to an address on Lobos where a male relative had sexually assaulted a minor. The officers arrested the suspect on two sexual assault charges. Case #080550893

05/26/08 2:45 am 19th Avenue and Winston

A suspect in a vehicle went through a red light, struck another vehicle, and then slowly drove away from the crime scene. Witnesses obtained the description of the vehicle and driver. officers Francisco Perez and Justin Erb responded to the scene to attend to the victim. San Francisco State University Police Sgt. Balistreri located the vehicle and driver on the 300 block of Buckingham. Officers Wayne Wong and Robert Hamblen arrived to assist. The suspect driver, who lives on Buckingham, failed sobriety and chemical tests. He was arrested for drunk driving and hit and run. Case #080550194

Officer Ron Gehrke responded to Andronico's where a suspect had trespassed at the store and was making noise inside a dumpster. When confronted by security, the suspect struck the security guard. The resident of the 500 block of Turk was cited for assault. Case #080550859

Officers James Drilon and Michael Evans went to an address on Harold where a belligerent and drunk adult son had threatened to kill his mother. The officers arrested the suspect on a number of charges. Case #080551835

A driver in a vehicle hit another vehicle stopped at a red light and then left the scene. Officers Erik Leung, Christina Pena and Christopher Servat located the driver at 55 Chumasero slumped over the wheel with a bottle of gin resting alongside her. When asked how much she had to drink, she stated "too much". The suspect, who lives in the area, was too intoxicated to take any tests as she could not stand up and kept going to sleep. She was arrested on a number of charges. Case #080552225

Officers Danny Barajas and Norman Lee went to an address on the 1400 block of 35th Avenue where a husband and wife were arguing in front of their children. The wife then took a phone and struck her husband causing injuries. The woman was arrested for domestic violence. Case #080553308

05/25/08 2:13 am 1800 block of Judah

Officers Justin Erb, Francisco Perez and Allan Wong responded to a report of a weaving driver at 16th and Lincoln. The officers located the driver and vehicle on the 1800 block of Judah. The driver, who lives on the 1900 block of Judah, was drunk. He failed field and chemical tests. He was arrested for drunk driving. Case #080547022

05/25/08 2:00 pm 2400 block of Irving

A man using a white bag had taken a number of items from Blockbluster and other stores on Irving. Sgt. Michael O'Brien and Officer Herman Chu searched the area and found the man hiding near a minivan at 23rd and Judah. The suspect, who has no permanent local address, was arrested for burglary and felony theft, the latter because he had prior theft convictions. Case #080548155

05/25/08 2:48 pm 1800 block of Ocean

A man entered a store on the 1800 block of Ocean and presented a dollar bill to the cashier for a candy bar. When the cashier opened the cash drawer, the man jumped over the counter, pushed the cashier aside and tried to take money from the till. A violent struggle ensued between the suspect and the cashier with the suspect, a very large man, striking the cashier in the face with a closed fist knocking the cashier to the ground. The suspect then fled the store on foot with other employees chasing and yelling at him. Sgt. Robert Padrones, the officer-in-charge of the elite Taraval Neighborhood Team, was on a traffic stop and was approached by the store employees, who gave the sergeant a description of the robber. Sgt. Padrones took one of the witnesses in his vehicle and began to search the area. Sgt. Padrones spotted the suspect on the first block of DeMontfort. As the sergeant tried to take the suspect into custody, the suspect pushed the sergeant back and ran away up the street. The sergeant chased the suspect to Holloway and Miramar and caught up to him. The suspect struggled with Sgt. Padrones again but was finally subdued and handcuffed. The suspect, who lives on the 100 block of Lee, was arrested for attempted robbery and resisting arrest. Again, outstanding police work by Sgt. Padrones. Case #080548387

05/25/08 5:30 pm 3200 block of 20th Avenue

Officers Christopher Servat and Erick Leung went to a store in Stonestown where four juveniles had entered a store, refused to leave when told to and then repeatedly threatened the lives of the employees. The juveniles, who live on the 500 block of Monterey, the first block of Oscela, the 3000 block of Folsom and the 100 block of Ralston, were cited for criminal threats and trespassing. Officers Norman Lee, Marc Higa, Alan Levy and Adam Kujath went to a report of a man brandishing a gun. They located the man sitting in a vehicle and determined that he was on probation. They then found suspected marijuana, cocaine and paraphernalia. No gun was found. The suspect, who lives in the area, was arrested on narcotics and probation charges. Case #080545703

Officers Christopher Smith, Dana Terry and John Cvetovac responded to a traffic accident where a driver, who had been speeding on 19th Avenue, crashed his vehicle into parked vehicles. The driver was contacted by the officers and was obviously drunk. He failed field and chemical tests. The resident of the 700 block of Gonzalez was arrested for drunk driving and other charges. Officers Jerry King and Arline Gilmore went to a dispute between a housekeeper and the owner of the house. The housekeeper, who lives on the first block of Prague, had struck the owner. She was cited for battery. Case #080532675

05/21/08 2:27 pm 4200 block of Lincoln

Captain Paul Chignell and Sgt. Steve Quon were on Lincoln Way observing a notorious house. The officers were waiting to see if the resident would emerge as he was wanted on a domestic violence case. When the suspect left his residence and got into his vehicle Chignell and Quon detained him and found the suspect in possession of a significant amount of methamphetamine. They arrested him for the domestic violence case and the narcotics. Chignell and Quon then requested that Officer Scott Biggs prepare a search warrant for the residence and asked Officers Ron Meyer, Justin Quintero and Saqib Aslam to "freeze" the residence until the search warrant was signed by a Judge. Sgt. Robert Padrones, his Taraval Neighborhood Team officers, and Officer Biggs then executed the search warrant and found a grenade, a tomahawk, a bullet proof vest and suspected heroin. Due to numerous complaints of drug use and trafficking at an address on Sadowa, Taraval officers prepared and executed a search warrant at the premise. Sgt. Robert Padrones, and Officers Juan Gala, Duane Elzey, Gregg Gotelli, Gregory Pak, Justin Erb, Antonio Cacatian, Buddy Siguido, Tri Hoang, Amanda Cordoba, Aaron Lozada, Richard Soares and Darren Wong attempted to gain entry to the premises but entry was denied. They then used a battering ram to gain entry and searched the residence. A large quantity of suspected cocaine, packaging material and paraphernalia was located. Four suspects, who live on Sadowa and in San Jose, were arrested for narcotics, paraphernalia, parole violations, probation violations and a theft warrant. Case #080534869

05/20/08 3:05 pm 1200 block of Ocean

Three teenage victims were in McDonald's restaurant eating food when they were approached by three suspects, all very large, in fact one being 440 pounds. The three suspects hovered over the victims intimidating them, and went through their pockets taking their money, debit card and muni fast passes. The suspects then fled the restaurant in a vehicle. Officers Nelson Yu and Kevin Wong responded to the crime scene along with Sgt. Robert Padrones. Sgt. Padrones obtained a detailed description of the suspects and broadcast the information over the police radio. Shortly thereafter Officers Duane Elzey, Gregg Gotelli and Gregory Pak, members of the elite Taraval Neighborhood Enforcement Team were on patrol at Plymouth and Grafton when they heard the descriptions broadcast by Sgt. Padrones. At the same time they observed a young juvenile running on Plymouth with another person running away from him and jumping into a car. The officers knew something was amiss and followed the fleeing vehicle to 1090 Plymouth where the vehicle stopped. The officers approached and found three suspects in the vehicle, all matching the description of the robbers from McDonald's. They also made contact with the juvenile who stated that the man running to the vehicle had just robbed him by pushing him against a nearby wall and taking his Ipod. The officers conducted an investigation and determined that the three suspects were the robbers from McDonald's. The victims all identified the three suspects and property from the victims was found in possession of the suspects. The suspects, who live on the 2600 block of Folsom and the 100 block of Jules, were arrested on multiple counts of robbery and conspiracy. Case #080529569

A large family fight that started at a residence on the 100 block of Lobos spilled out into the street at Lobos and Orizaba. A victim and a witness looked outside and saw a number of suspects inside and outside of her vehicle. She did not know the suspects and gave no one permission to enter her vehicle. The victim yelled at the suspects, at which time they jumped into a vehicle and drove away. The victim memorized the license number and called the police. Officers Justin Quintero and Scott Biggs observed a suspicious loiterer at a bus stop but when buses came by he did not get on a bus. The officers then observed the suspect holding a razar blade. A young woman left Stonestown and was surrounded by a number of juveniles, knocked to the ground and then they took her purse. Numerous officers responded including Officers Matthew Friedman, Thomas Chu, Yukio Oshita and Antonio Cacatian. The victim was unable to identify a number of people who were detained nearby by the officers. One suspect, who lives on the 1500 block of Underwood, was arrested for false identification and delaying an investigation. Case #080494382

Officers Ron Meyer and Saqib Aslam stopped a vehicle with a license plate violation. The resident of the 2700 block of Ulloa was wanted by the Santa Clara County Sheriff for an arrest warrant for being unlicensed. Case #080480579

Security personnel and administrators smelled marijuana in a classroom and commenced a search of the students. One student was recalcitrant and argumentative. The security guard then saw that the student had a semi-automatic weapon concealed in his waistband. The police were called with officers Nathaniel Manalang and Darren Wong arriving first and detaining the suspect. The officers removed the fully loaded weapon from the waistband of the suspect and arrested him. The 17 year old resides on DeMontfort. Case #080483501

A shopkeeper was alone in her business when a man walked in with both hands in his pockets. He suddenly withdrew a large black handgun and pointed it at her and stated "I need a favor". The phone rang which apparently startled the suspect and he fled the premises. Officers Darren Wong, Nathaniel Manalang, Francis Feliciano, Ron Meyer, Rolando Escobar, Danny Barajas, Benny Lew and Sgt. Robert Bohanan sped to the scene and obtained a description of the suspect. Officers Wong and Manalang located the suspect at 19th and Irving and arrested him. The victim positively identified the suspect. The suspect, who lives on the 100 block of Brookdale, and has prior firearms arrests, was charged with multiple felonies and a misdemeanor warrant. Case #080483993

Robbery Investigators contacted Taraval Station and asked the officers to be on the lookout for a particular vehicle involved in a robbery case. Officers David Wong and Gregory Pak located the vehicle at 46th Avenue and Lawton and called for plainclothes officers to watch the vehicle. Officers Juan Gala and Jose Guardado watched the vehicle until two persons arrived and drove off in the vehicle. The vehicle was stopped on the 1300 block of 42nd Avenue. The driver, who lives on the 4000 block of Lawton, was driving with a suspended license, had fraudulent registration and had a warrant for his arrest for burglary and felony theft. His vehicle, a 1997 Toyota, was towed. The robbery investigation continues. Case #080456285

Officers Thomas Abrahamsen and Jane Wong were on a special assignment to locate persons sleeping in vans and recreational vehicles on the west side of the police district. Thier assignment was based upon scores of complaints from residents of blight, trash, and waste left in the residential areas. They observed a vehicle on the 1300 block of 36th Avenue and cited the owner/occupant for a violation of the municipal police code. Case #080473085

Officers Joe Chang and Joshua Enea observed a vehicle speeding. When they stopped the driver, she immediately got out of the car with her hands up in the air. The driver had an unsteady gait and smelled of alochol. The resident of the 1000 block of Rivera failed field sobriety and chemical tests. She was arrested for driving under the influence. Officers Justin Erb and Francisco Perez went to a notorious address on 46th Avenue on a report of a home invasion. When they arrived they located a single resident in the garage area standing near a loaded semi-automatic handgun. They determined that the resident had called the police with false statements about people being shot and a home invasion. The officers located ammunition, an illegal assault weapon and other evidence. The initial weapon had been reported stolen. With the assistance of Sgt. Kato and other officers, the suspect was arrested on felony charges. Case #080469272

Officers Jerry King, John Paige and Neil Fanene went to an address on the 300 block of Santa Ana where a husband and wife had been involved in an altercation over the contents of a safe. The husband slammed the door of the safe on his wife's arm, thereby causing an injury. He also grabbed her cell phone preventing her from immediately calling 911. San Francisco State University Police and Officers Aaron Lozada and Richard Soares responded to the lobby of the 700 block of Gonzalez where a number of women were in a fight. There was one suspect who had wildly struck two victims in the head causing injuries. The suspect, who lives in Vallejo, was arrested on three assault and malicious mischief charges. Case #080462345

Officers Francis Feliciano and Christina Pena observed a vehicle being driven with a headlight out. They followed the vehicle and determined through the police computer that the vehicle was stolen. A traffic stop was made with numerous other Taraval officers and the driver was arrested without incident. The suspect, who lives in Hayward, admitted that the vehicle was stolen. He was charged with auto theft, receiving stolen property, possession of burglar tools and possession of suspected marijuana as well as narcotics paraphernalia. Case #080458720

Officers Esther Gonzalez and Christina Pena observed a vehicle doubleparked with expired registration. Numerous vehicles were backed up behind the illegally parked car. The officers stopped to investigate and found that the driver had an expired driver license and reeked of marijuana. Officer Barbara Dullea admonished a resident of Portland, Oregon for not properly attending to his dog. The dog had bitten a passerby on the leg. Case #080448345

04/29/08 3:30 pm 1800 block of 39th Avenue

A resident called the police as he saw two suspects break the window of a parked and locked vehicle, take items out of the car and flee the area in a muni bus. The suspects got on the bus which proceeded east on Noriega with the witness following the bus. Officers Ron Meyer and Saqib Aslam along with Lt. Michael Caplan located the suspects, who got off the bus at 25th and Noriega. The suspects were covered in broken glass and were subsequently identified by the witness as the ones responsible for the crime. The suspects, who live on the 600 block of Willow and in Daly City, were arrested for burglary and conspiracy. They both have lengthy records for the same crime. This was great teamwork by the resident and Taraval officers. Case #080449359

Officers Kevin O'Leary and Darren Wong responded on a report of a man harassing a Department of Public Works employee. They contacted the man and found that he was drunk. The resident of the 2800 block of Wawona was taken to Taraval Station to sober up prior to being released. Case #080440517

04/27/08 4:15 pm 1600 block of 26th Avenue

A brother stabbed his sibling to death at a residence on the 1600 block of 26th Avenue. Taraval officers and investigative units responded to the scene but the suspect had fled the premises. Lt. John Feeney directed Officers Jamie Hyun and Yukio Oshita to change into plainclothes and conduct a surveillance of the premises. At 2:05 am the officers observed a suspect walking along the building line near the victim's residence. They contacted the suspect and found him to be the wanted person for the homicide. The suspect was arrested for murder. Case #080440818

Officers Yukio Oshita and Scott Biggs spotted a fugitive standing on the corner. The suspect saw the officers, who were in plainclothes, and then took off running full speed up the street. The officers gave chase and followed the suspect into a house and into a rear bedroom where they captured the suspect. The fugitive, who lives on the 100 block of Arch, was arrested on an arrest warrant charging firearms violations including being a felon in possession of a firearm. Officers Scott Biggs and Yukio Oshita responded to the Ingleside District on a report of numerous officers assisting a victim who had spotted a suspect driving the victim's stolen car. The suspect dumped the stolen car at Alemany and Foote and took off running. The officers obtained a description of the suspect and found him running on Alemany. They captured the suspect and arrested him for auto theft, receiving stolen property and possession of master keys. The suspect, who lives on the 800 block of Vienna, was out on bail for an April 14 arrest for attempted auto theft and auto burglary. Case #080434344

Five juveniles entered a store, stole a number of cell phones, fled out of the store and left on a muni bus. The description of the suspects and mode of travel was broadcast. The suspects were located on the bus at Geary and Fillmore by Richmond District officers. Officer Neil Fanene of Taraval Station transported the victim who positively identified three of the suspects. The three, who live in Alameda, the first block of Nichols Way and the 100 block of 6th Avenue, were arrested for grand theft and conspiracy. Case #080427781

Officers Moli Finau and Michael Evans went to a domestic dispute between two men over their cat being taken to Animal Care and Control. Sgt. Robert Padrones and Officers Gregg Gotelli, Duane Elzey, Ronald Choy, Jose Guardado and SFPD Narcotics officers served a search warrant at an address on the 400 block of Lakeview. Upon forced entry the officers located two suspects who were in possession of a large of amount of cocaine and a loaded sem-automatic handgun. Officers Josey Russell and Christina Pena responded to the South Sunset Playground on a report of four juveniles committing multiple graffiti offenses. A resident called the police as he saw a suspect break into a vehicle and take a camera and other property. Numerous Taraval officers sped to the scene after hearing the description over the police radio. Officers Peterkent DeJesus, Joaquin Borromeo and Stanley Lee observed the suspect walking on the 1900 block of Lower Great Highway. They attempted to detain the suspect but he violently resisted arrest but was finally subdued. The suspect had the victim's property on his person and was positively identified by the witness. The suspect, who lives on the 1000 block of Connecticut, has another auto burglary case pending from 2007. He was arrested for burglary, possession of burglar tools, resisting arrest and an arrest warrant for auto tampering. This was excellent teamwork by a resident and alert police officers. Officers Duane Elzey, Gregory Pak, Gregg Gotelli and Jose Guardado were on patrol in the area of Oceanview Park due to a surge in loitering, gang activity, drug dealing and associated crimes. They spotted a number of people loitering and acting as either lookouts or sellers of narcotics. When the officers moved in, the persons dispersed. The officers located a loaded firearm in the wheel well of a nearby vehicle adjacent to where the loiterers were standing. They retrieved the weapon and cited a remaining suspect, who lives on the 1000 block of Tompkins, for loitering for the purposes of narcotics activity. Case #080420525

Officers Alan Levy, Esther Gonzalez, Azarias Castro and Kevin O'Leary responded to a hit and run accident where a driver had crossed over a double yellow line at Ocean and Faxon, struck two vehicles, and then driove away. A witness provided the officers with a description of the vehicle. Officers Levy and Gonzalez tracked the vehicle down to the first block of Manor and saw a suspect who had been driving the vehicle, attempting to remove items from the suspect vehicle. The suspect was quite inebriated and failed both field sobriety and chemical tests (the latter by twice the leagl limit). He was arrested for drunk driving, hit and run and operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license. Case #080406224

Officer John Paige responded to a report of a suspect waving a gun near a black vehicle at Farallones and Orizaba. When the officer arrived on the scene he observed two suspects near the vehicle and he advised them to stop. Instead the suspect fled in the vehicle with the officer in pursuit. The driver speeded, went through stop signs and then struck a parked car, dumped his car and fled into nearby bushes. One suspect was captured at the scene and the fleeing suspect was finally found hiding in bushes by Ingleside Station officers just off of Junipero Serra. A large quantity of narcotics was found in the vehicle. The suspects, who live on St. Charles and in Livermore, were arrested on naroctics and hit & run charges. Case #080400856

An alert resident of Lunado Way looked out of his window and saw a suspect standing next to a parked car and then suddenly break the car window and take property from the vehicle. He called the police with Officers Buddy Siguido, Dean Lee, Latanya Kellogg and Vincent Masilang speeding to the scene. At Estero Officers Siguido and Masilang spotted the suspect and gave chase. The suspect ran away and tried to hide in some bushes. The officers captured the suspect, who was in possession of burglar tools and the victim's property. The resident of the 300 block of Monticello was arrested for burglary, possession of burglar tools, resisting arrest and for no bail warrants for auto theft, burglary and a parole violation. This was great teamwork by an alert resident and expeditious response by police officers from Taraval Station. Case #080403189

A middleaged man who is visually impaired was walking on the street when a black car came by with four suspects inside. One of the suspects took out a BB gun and pointed it at the victim and tried to grab his laptop bag. The scared victim handed over some currency in his pocket and the suspects sped away. The description of the suspects was broadcast over the police radio. Officers Sean Perdomo and Robert Hamblen spotted the vehicle with the four suspects on 19th Avenue and Junipero Serra. The officers stopped the vehicle at Stratford and Holloway. The officers retrieved the BB gun and the property taken from the victim. Officers Scott Biggs, Kevin O'Leary and Chris Oshita gave the suspects their constitutional rights and skillfully obtained confessions to the crime. Officers Gregg Gotelli, Jose Guardado, Gregory Pak and Duane Elzey, member of the elite Taraval Neighborhood Team, were on patrol in an area where narcotics activity and shootings have occurred. They observed two persons loitering, looking furtively around and engaging passing motorists in conversation when briefly stopping. The officers made contact with the two persons, and found one, who lives in Antioch, wanted in Contra Costa County on an arrest warrant for domestic violence. A park employee called the police as a man was trespassing in a building at the Oceanview Playground. Officers Barbara Dullea and Eric Borgheansi located the suspect emerging from a local barber shop. The suspect was arrested for trespassing. When the suspect, who lives on the 100 block of Harold, was taken to Youth Guidance Center, he vomited up a large number of crack cocaine drugs wrapped in plastic. A suspect on a skate board was observed to break a Muni shelter shattering some glass. Inner Irving foot beat Officer Ronald Gehrke obtained a description and located the suspect an hour later a few blocks away. Officers Azarias Castro, Ron Meyer, David Wong, Rolando Escobar and Tri Hoang responded to Sunset and Judah where a woman was bleeding from the hand. They then located a male victim on 36th Avenue between Irving and Judah who had been stabbed in the head and neck area. The officers determined that the woman had taken a broken bottle and severely cut her boyfriend after a drunken dispute. The woman, who lives on the 1700 block of Bay, was arrested for three counts of assault with a deadly weapon. Case #080382812

A brother and sister were standing in front of a store on the 1200 block of 9th Avenue. Suddenly three suspects came by and one demanded the boy's cell phone or he would hurt him. The victim refused at which time the suspect grabbed the cell phone and ran away with his friends. The victim pursued the suspects but was struck by one of the suspects causing bleeding and a fractured nose. Officers Tri Hoang and Rex Calaunan were walking a foot beat and heard the victim yell, "rob, somebody stop him!" The officers chased after the suspects with Officers Escobar and Hoang subduing one suspect after a fierce struggle. The other suspect was located nearby. The victim and his sister identified the two suspects. The suspects, who live on the 600 block of Francisco, were arrested for robbery, conspiracy and assault. Case #080383785

A man looked out his window and saw a suspect peering into parked vehicles and then quickly turn away when vehicles drove by. He then saw the suspect trying car doors and finally saw the suspect smash a window of a locked vehicle and enter the vehicle. The man called the police and Officers Christopher Servat and Joe Chang, who were in the area, sped to the scene and located the suspect inside the vehicle. The suspect, who lives on the 800 block of Capitol, was in possession of multiple burglar tools and was on probation for robbery. Officers Sean Perdomo and Robert Hamblen observed an individual going through a trash can. They stopped to investigate and the person gave the officers conflicting information as to his identity. When they finally determined who he was, they found that the resident of Oakland was wanted on a no bail arrest warrant for stolen auto and another no bail arrest warrant for burglary. A victim was standing on a municipal railway platform when he was confronted by a suspect. A scuffle ensued with the suspect taking out a hammer and striking the victim on the back of the head with the hammer causing an injury to the victim's head. The police were called with Officers Richard Jue, Kevin Mannix and Jerry King responding to the scene. Officers Jue and Mannix located the suspect nearby and in possession of the hammer. Officers Neil Fanene and Moli Finau went to an address on Miramar at the request of the San Mateo County Probation Department and arrested a resident for a no bail probation violation. Case #080365965

04/08/08 2:44 pm 100 block of Sadowa

Officers Ronald Choy, Gregg Gotelli, Saqib Aslam and Duane Elzey went to the 100 block of Sadowa and admonished a transient for trespassing. Case #080367507

04/08/08 3:15 pm San Jose and Lakeview

A victim was walking on Plymouth at Sadowa when a suspect approached him and demanded his backpack. The victim refused at which point the suspect pulled a gun out and demanded the property again. A second suspect emerged with a knife and conveyed the victim to an address on Sadowa. The victim was relieved of his property and sent packing. The victim made a police report. Officers Gregg Gotelli and Duane Elzey, who work on the elite Taraval Neighborhood Team, and know the area and potential suspects well, felt that one of the suspects may be someone they knew, based upon the description from the victim. They showed the victim various photographs and the victim positively picked out the suspect's photo. At 3:15 pm Gotelli and Elzey spotted the suspect standing on Lakeview. The suspect, who resides on the 1100 block of Folsom and has numerous prior felony arrests, was arrested and charged with robbery, kidnapping and a probation violation. This was outstanding work. An elderly couple heard scratching noises and the sounds of someone attempting to open their front door. Then then heard a crashing sound in the kitchen and were horrified to find a suspect standing in their living room. They called 911 with San Francisco State University Sgt. Rodriguez arriving first and taking the suspect into custody just outside an exit door. Officers Robert Hamblen and Sean Perdomo arrived to assist. The suspect, who lives in Mission Viejo, was arrested for burglary. Case #080357865

Officers Alan Levy and Azarias Castro went to a shop in Stonestown where a suspect had shoplifted some electronic items. The resident of the 4300 block of California was cited. Case #080359980

04/06/08 7:43 pm Capitol and Lobos

Officers Robin Odum and Carla Lee were on patrol when they spotted a juvenile with a spray can raising his arm to spray graffiti on a wall. The suspect saw the officers and took off running to a nearby store. The officers gave chase and tried to detain the suspect but his father intervened trying to block the officers. The juvenile suspect violently resisted arrest and had to be taken to the ground. All the while the juvenile and father yelled obscenities at the two officers and struck the officers. With the assistance of additional officers both suspects were subdued and arrested for battery and resisting arrest. The juvenile's telephone had photos of graffiti actions that had been taken, including a recent graffiti offense on a parked SFPD patrol car. The suspects reside on the 400 block of Capitol. Captain Paul Chignell and Sgt. Steve Quon were on patrol when they observed a man screaming at a woman. They stopped to investigate and found that the man was wanted on a warrant for driving with a suspended license and had three concealed knives on his person. The suspect, who has no permanent local address, was arrested. Case #080351419

A victim parked his motorcycle in front of his house. When he came out to walk his dog, two suspects were in the process of pushing his motorcycle to the ground. They then took off running. Officers Dennis Cravalho and Alan Lamb responded to take a report. They then searched the area and found the suspects in Golden Gate Park, with one riding a bicycle and the other riding on the handlebars. They stopped the suspects with one suspect resisting arrest. He was subdued and the and both suspects, who are residents of the 2300 block of Golden Gate and the 600 block of 34th Avenue were arrested for malicious mischief. Case #080354247

A man walked into a pharmacy, grabbed a prescription bottle of pills and fled the store. An employee confronted the suspect and a fight ensued on the sidewalk. Officers Kevin O'Leary and Amanda Cordoba responded and took custody of the suspect. The suspect, who lives on the 1400 block of Waller, was wanted on six counts of narcotics violations and five counts of burglary. He was arrested for those charges and robbery. Case #080352194

Officers Buddy Siguido and Vincent Masilang stopped a vehicle for an equipment violation. The vehicle had two occupants, one of whom had been arrested previously for possession of marijuana for sale. The officers smelled marijuana emanating from the vehicle. A search revealed large quantities of marijuana and packaging material. The suspects, who reside on the 700 block of Clayton and the 1800 block of Illinois, were arrested.

Officer Lindsey Suslow admonished a resident of the 200 block of Argonaut, a student at Lincoln High School, for threatening another student. Case #080342781
